Like Mother like Daughter

When we found out Briley was a girl my mind immediately started dreaming of the day I would take my little girl to her first dance class.  A lot of my childhood revolved around dance and I wouldn't trade one single moment of it.  I started at 5 and didn't quit until I was 19.  I was on competitive teams for my dance studio, I was captain of the drill team my senior year, I was an assistant teacher at the studio, I was on the dance team my freshman year of college, can you tell how much I loved it??

Well...my wish came true and I took Briley to her 1st dance class last Thursday.  These pictures make me smile every time I look at them!!

A girl's trip to remember!!

Briley and I had the privilege last week to take a vacation with my Mom (Gigi) and my Grandmother (Mega).  All four of us packed up the truck and headed south for Sea World!!  We spent two nights and 3 days in San Antonio and I am SO thankful to have made these memories just the 4 of us.  We were laughing pretty much the entire trip!!  Enjoy our pictures...
On our way!!
Starting vacation off with a little swimming at the hotel...
...and a yummy dinner at Olive Garden...that took FOREVER to find after we passed it twice ;)
Finally made it to Sea World!!
Shamu roller coaster with her Gigi!!
I think it was a little too early in the morning to see "Shampoo" as B calls him!!
 LOVE this picture!
Briley was so brave and wanted to go on every ride!!
Had to cool off at the Elmo Splash Park several times throughout the day :)
Ended our 2nd day with seeing "Shampoo" and it was AWESOME!!

I have to end with just saying again how special this trip was to me.  I am so blessed to have been raised by these wonderful and GODLY women and I am so thankful that Briley has them in her life.
I know Hadley was with us in our hearts...we missed her so much and thought of her often.
Thank you God for allowing us to go on this trip and make everlasting memories!!

Baking cookies for Santa!!

Christmas Eve morning Briley and I got busy making Christmas cookies for Santa Claus.  It is our first year making them and by the looks of them you can tell I am NOT a baker or a decorator but we still had a lot of fun!!  Which is all that counts in my mind.

First pictures in our cute apron...
 Getting all our ingredients together
She loved pouring everything in and wanted to do it ALL by herself of course!
 Mixing it all together!!
Her favorite part!!  Rolling the dough :)
 Silly face time!!

Later that day, after Mommy had baked and iced them it was B's turn to decorate them...she had a blast and needless to say I don't have any sprinkles left ;)
The sprinkles ended up in the icing...baking with a two year old ;)
 Hadley and Nonnie's angel cookies
The cookies all ready for Santa on his plate!!
Such wonderful memories made with my sweet girl!!

In Christ's Love,
