Our Heavenly Hadley

I am linking up with Kelly's Korner today on her SUYL-Mom's who have lost children.

I'm thankful to Kelly for choosing this topic and allowing us to connect with other Mom's who have lost.

You can start here and read about our journey.

We are now over a year out from the loss of our Hadley and even though the sting is less each day...the ache, the pain, the why's, the hopes lost for her future, etc. are all still very present.

I am SO thankful to have a Heavenly Father that loves us so much and will take away all of my heartache when I stand in His presence in Heaven one day with our Hadley.

We have done several things to keep Hadley's memory ALIVE and PRESENT in our family even though she is not.  I want to share a few with you in hopes you might get your own ideas to honor your sweet baby!!
I am looking forward to connecting with other Mom's through this post...I pray each of us have a moment of PEACE today and realize we are not alone.

A Heavenly Birthday Party Part 2

Here are some of my favorite pictures that my sweet friend Amanda took at Hadley's birthday party.  I love them so much and I can't wait to put them into a shutterfly book.  I have started working on her name gallery book and I can't wait until it is finished...it is going to be amazing!!
Beautiful day, beautiful pictures, beautiful little girl!!
I can't wait to hold her again.

Treasures in Heaven

I'm grieving hard this weekend.  I'm not uncontrollably crying or screaming.  I'm just hurting extremely hard inside.  I miss Hadley so much.

I came across this bible verse the other day and it really got me thinking...

"But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." -Matthew 6:20

My treasure is most definitely in Heaven and absolutely nothing can harm her.   That is so comforting for me when my grief and pain is so strong.  I am so humbled by God and how He is taking care of my treasure and allowing me to one day spend eternity with her and the rest of my family.

Since Hadley went to Heaven I have also gone back to this verse in my bible over and over again...

"Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." -Psalm 139:16

He knew Hadley would be one of my treasures in Heaven before I was even born!!  Isn't that amazing??  He knows absolutely everything about my life because He gave me life.  I was able to hold Hadley on that precious night in February, and now she is being held and treasured by Jesus.

Isn't it amazing how God can lessen our pain by simply loving us?

Hadley is my glimpse of Heaven and I can't wait to hold my treasure again.

In Christ's Love,
