3rd Walk to Remember

This past Saturday we attended our 3rd Walk to Remember that is put on by our support group MEND.  You can see our previous walks we have attended here.  It is hard for me to grasp that this is our 3rd one and that we will be celebrating her 3rd birthday in February.  I miss her so much.

This walk did feel very different with Delaney there.  It was so healing to see her sweet face smiling and laughing on such a difficult day.  Thank you to our God who makes everything beautiful and new in HIS time.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day :)

Love you Hadley D'Layne and our sweet baby Hope!!  We miss you always and long for the day we will be reunited in Heaven!!

Love,
Melissa

Happyache

Hadley,

I'm happyache.

I'm happy because Delaney is here, alive, and healthy.

I ache for you...you aren't here.

I'm happy because I know you are alive with HIM.

I ache for a 4 year old, 2 year old, and a 2 month old.

I'm happy for a safe pregnancy with Delaney.

I ache for knowing why not for you?

I'm happy that Briley is finally getting to experience being a big sister.

I ache because you made her a big sister first.

I'm happy for every precious day with your sisters.

I ache for the days here on earth I will never get with you.

I'm happy for every new smile, coo, and laugh.

I ache to see you smile, coo, and laugh.

I'm happy that my arms don't feel so empty.

I ache for you to be in them.

I'm happy that God is mending my broken heart.

I ache for the day it is completely healed.

I'm happy that God allowed me to carry you for 160 days.

I ache for the 938 days I've missed.

I'm happy God can turn weeping at night to JOY in the morning.

I ache to see your face.

I'm happy I was able to kiss it.

I'm happy you will always be watching over your sisters.

I ache that you went before me.

I'm happy your Daddy is the best girl Daddy ever.

I ache to see him be a Daddy to you.

I'm happy you changed me.

I ache because I'm happy.

I'm happyache.

Hadley I miss you...

Love,
Mommy

Picture Post

Apparently I can't find the time to blog lately :(
But I want to make sure and at least get some pictures up!!

Life is wonderful, busy, and blessed...

Thanking God everyday for this pregnancy and how much He is covering me with His love.
19 weeks

Meet Delaney Hope :)
Delaney is after Hadley and Tammie's middle name, D'Layne and Hope is because she is the hope and healing God is giving our family this year!!
We celebrated my sweet Hadley's 2nd birthday.  I will have another post on that soon but here are a few of my favorite pics from her balloon release.

The day before Hadley's birthday we took Briley to Great Wolf Lodge to have some family time...she had a BLAST!!!

Briley got to see the musical from her favorite book...PINKALICIOUS!!!

We celebrated my amazing husband's 30th birthday with family and friends

This week we started our Easter festivities with an Egg Hunt at Briley's preschool...

This weekend we have an Easter Family Day on Saturday at church and then of course church on Sunday and visiting with family to celebrate that HE LIVES!!

I will be 24 weeks on Saturday which is considered "viability".  God's timing with this pregnancy is beautiful and perfect...so thankful for new beginnings this Easter season.

Love,
Melissa

Day 17

Day 17 {Anniversary, Birthday, Due Date}

The day she was born...
2-28-2011

Her Due Date
6-28-2011

Her 1st Birthday
2-28-2012
I woke up on her 1st birthday at 2:15 am so I could tell her Happy Birthday and that I loved her so very much!!

This is the first time I have ever shared her pictures on our blog...I contemplated it for awhile but I can't think of anything else I would want to show for the day she was born other than her picture.

I told a friend today that I can't stand being "that girl" with our friends that you have to worry about telling your pregnant, or having your newborn around, or not sure to share something exciting your child did that Hadley should be doing, etc.  My sweet friend reminded me that God has chosen for me to be "that girl" and it's what I do with the path He has given me that matters most to Him.

It's not easy being "that girl" but God isn't always as concerned with our emotions as He is with our salvation.  I'm so glad my salvation is covered by the blood of Jesus.

I may not get to spend Hadley's birthdays with her on earth but I will be with her forever in eternity because of my Savior.

Being "that girl" yesterday, today, and tomorrow just means I'm one day closer to Heaven...and I'm going to keep on living for God's glory in the midst of this pain.

Blessings,
Melissa
