The Reason for the Season...in pictures!!!

I really do want to keep blogging.  It is extremely hard to find the time right now.  Honestly the reason why I am blogging now is because I am sick with strep throat and home from church.  Maybe I should make a resolution for 2014 to blog more??  ;)
Here are some fun pictures of my sweet family celebrating our Saviors birth...
Putting up our Christmas tree

Harrison our elf came back!!
And he did not disappoint!!!  ;)
We blessed a 2.5 year old angel...the same age as our Hadley
Looked super cute in our winter hats!!
Went and saw the Fort Worth Parade of Lights and had our annual picture by the tree with Auntie and Papa!!
ICEMAGEDDON hit Fort Worth hard and we were stuck inside for 4 days straight!!!
Delaney learned how to sit up with the help of her boppy
This one enjoyed lots of popcorn and movies...I think we watched every Disney movie we own!!
We braved the freezing cold temps for about 2.5 sec!!
TOO cold for us Texans!!
Harrison surprised Briley the morning it iced.  She though it was snow and was so disappointed when she jumped in and landed on HARD ice!!
We did some organizing and had mani and pedi time!!
This was the amount of ice on our driveway!!
We finally got out when Daddy came home from the fire station and what did we go see??  FROZEN of course!!  ;)
Once the ice melted we made our way to see the jolly guy!!
Briley wrapped and wrote tags on presents for the first time all by herself!!

Went and saw Daddy play the bagpipes in his city's parade!!
All the kiddos rode in the trailer with the bag pipers and Delaney and I rode in the warm truck :)
After the parade inside the station the little girls couldn't get enough of sweet Delaney :)

Isn't she the prettiest??
We also celebrated Christmas with our House2House group at church and Delaney sat in a high chair for the first time while the kids decorated cookies :)
We have been busy!!  But it's been a blast and in the next 4 days we have Christmas Eve play rehearsals, Christmas Eve play, candlelight service, looking at Christmas lights, and of course Christmas Day!!
I'll end with our Christmas card...Merry Christmas!!!

Thanksgiving 2012, Parade of Lights, and Polar Express Party!!

I'm giving thanks for my beautiful blessing tonight and that I am holding her now as she is sleeping in my arms.  I'm praying so hard for those families that aren't holding their babies tonight in CT.  Such a tragic world we live in filled with such hate.  We must cling to Jesus now more than ever.  I long for the day He brings us home.

With that said I have so many things to be thankful for!!  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year with both sides of our family.  For lunch we spent time with my Dad's side of the family and we had such a great time and had VERY full bellies.
This little girl always has fun with her Gigi!!
Love these people so much!!  Just missing my sweet brother, Andrew.  He will be home from Boston for Christmas very soon.  Briley and I are so excited to see him!!!

After lunch we headed to Bluebonnet to visit Nonnie and Hadley with Daniel's Dad and sister.  We always go with them on Holidays to do this and I love this tradition we have started.  This time is very special to all of us...
We had a yummy Thanksgiving dinner of chicken fried steak, salad, corn, and rolls.  Just what my Mother-in-law would have cooked for us!!

The next night we headed out with Daniel's Dad and sister to our 2nd Parade of Lights to attend.  The traffic was SO bad that we didn't have the best view of the parade but once the parade was over being at the back has its advantages...we were in the front row for the lighting of the tree in downtown :)
Enjoying some healthy Mickey D's while we wait for Parade :)
 Such a pretty tree!!

The following weekend we were invited to a Polar Express Christmas party to kick off December and all the kiddos Elves arriving :)

Isn't the decor so pretty??

Christmas trees cones to decorate :)
Letters to write to Santa and tickets for the Polar Express!!
Yummy food!!  Marshmallows, cheese and crackers, white donuts, snowman cupcakes, cookies...what more could a kiddo want??
 "Writing" her letter to Santa
 Decorating her Christmas Tree cone!!
We ended the party with watching the Polar Express, eating popcorn, and have hot chocolate of course!!
Such a fun way to start off our Christmas festivities!!!
