Father's Day 2012

Father's Day was a fun day for us and I think for Daniel too!!

I wasn't able to spend Father's Day with my Dad (my family was going to my Uncle's and we already had plans) so we gave him his present on Friday night at Briley's party.  I used the website "wordle" and made him this...

I put it in a nice frame and he loved it!!  He has been wanting a picture of the family for a long time.  Love you Dad!!!

For Father's Day we started off with giving Daniel his present from Briley.  Briley gave her Daddy this...

I saw this on pinterest and at a friends house and thought it was precious!!  We put it in a frame and he loved it!!  We also had to do a little more for such a wonderful Daddy and we gave him tickets to the Ranger game!!!

We headed to church with Daniel's Dad and sister but not before taking a few pictures of some great Dad's and a sweet little girl in the middle!!

We were so excited to have Daniel's Dad and sister visit the church we have been talking about so much and I know Daniel enjoyed being at church with his Dad on Father's Day.

As soon as church was out we headed to the Ranger game.  We were so worried about it being too hot but we were in the shade and it was perfect!!

I L.O.V.E. these two!!
I feel so incredibly blessed that Briley and our angels have such a wonderful Daddy.  I knew when Daniel and I got engagned that I couldn't wait for moments like this...to see him with our children.  The path God has given Daniel and I is not always what we have expected or wanted but I can't imagine experiencing it with anyone else.  I am so thankful for you Daniel.  Briley, Hadley, and Baby Bufe are the luckiest kiddos in the world.
We love you so much!!!

Fan or a Follower?

Daniel and I have started attending a small group at our new church and we were able to watch the last couple episodes of a study they have been doing titled, Fan or Follower?  Just the few episodes we have seen has really impacted me...

...am I a fan or a follower?

I want to say I'm a follower.  I think parts of me are.  But I'm not completely there.  I want to be SO bad and I know Jesus is clearing MY (yucky and sinful) path so I can TRULY follow him.  Every day, every hour, every minute, every second.  A fan is someone on the sidelines and I absolutely do not want to be left there.

HE isn't asking much...how can I just be a fan when he's holding out his hand and giving me eternity with God?  I know I'm saved by His grace but I think what I'm asking myself tonight is what am I doing with my salvation that shows I'm not just a fan but a follower?

He's given me everything I need to be a follower...I can't let HIM down.

Celebrating Briley!!

The morning of Briley's birthday we headed to the mall for a special surprise for our birthday girl.  We took her to Build A Bear to make a Minnie Mouse bear which came out on her birthday!  She was so excited!!
We continued our tradition this year and celebrated Briley's actual birthday night at the park like we did for her 1st and 2nd birthday!!  We invited extended family to come this year since we celebrated her birthday party with her little friends.  Enjoy the pictures!!

Here is my favorite part...comparing each year!!

Thank you God for blessing us with such a perfect little girl!!
We love you to the moon and back Briley Ann!!

Minnie Mouse 3rd Birthday Party!

We officially have a 3 year old!!  Her birthday was last Friday and we had a wonderful day celebrating her with the annual birthday dinner at the park with family.

I will post more about her actual birthday later but I have to share with you the fun pictures from her Minnie Mouse birthday party with her friends.  We decided to have just a "friends" party this year and not at our house and it was wonderful.  No cleanup!!  Gymboree was a fun place (similar to Little Gym) and what's most important is B loved it.

Here is her invitation :)  I found one on etsy I liked and just made one similar in photoshop myself.  I love photoshop now that I know how to use it ;)

I decided not to go too crazy with the decor and just did a few of the things I had pinned awhile back for her birthday.  We had....

Minnie and Mickey Mouse plates for each kiddo!!
(hot glued small and large black plates together and used a butterfly cookie cutter for the bow)

A happy birthday banner!!
(Got the idea off etsy...was $25 to order and I made it for $7!!)

Name tags for all her friends...boys had Mickey's and girls had Minnie's of course!!

Minnie Mouse cupcakes!!
(Hint...do not put the oreos in the day before because they become soft and most fell over by the next day...oh well you can't win 'em all right?  They were still cute.)

Minnie Mouse rice krispie treats!!
A BIG thank you to her Daddy who worked very hard to make them.
(We used a mickey mouse cookie cutter and just dipped the ears in chocolate and added the pink sprinkles to make it girly.)
And last but not least the favors!!
(each child got a coloring book and minnie mouse sucker...I made the tags on our computer.)

So here is the end result with all the decorations the day of her party...

Now for all the fun party pictures!!
(you can click on each picture to see it bigger)

After the party she let her balloons go to baby sister Hadley and our sweet new angel in Heaven...

We had the best day celebrating our 3 year old with all her friends!!
