Monday Day Book

Outside my window …it is sunny!!  I'm tired of the rain.  I hope it stays nice for Memorial weekend.

I am thinking …how excited I am to start a bible study with my best friend Sarah.  She has been doing a bible study with the same women for several years now and I am honored to join the group in June.  We are studying Linda Dillow's book, Creative Counterpart: Becoming the Woman, Wife, and Mother You Have Longed To Be. I can't wait!!

I am thankful for …Briley.  She can make me smile even when my heart is hurting so bad.

I am hoping …that I can stick with my boot camp I am going to do this summer for six weeks.  Time to get back in shape and feel better about the way I look.

On my mind ... that I have so much do to before school is over in 8 days!!!

Noticing that …I can't keep a clean house lately.  I will pick up and piles still seem to form.  Looking forward to summer and a clean house!!

A few plans for the week …School, Dad's 50th Birthday celebration on Thursday night, my wonderful brother Andrew coming in from Boston (we miss him so much), celebrating sweet Hadley this Saturday on the 28th by releasing 3 balloons, and going to the Ranger game with my wonderful kindergarten team and all the hubbies!!

From the kitchen … Bertolli alfredo sauce.  YUM!!  We used it last night to make chicken alfredo (not my favorite, but I'll eat it) and the sauce is amazing.  It is a little more expensive than regular prego but it is worth it!!

Around the house … We are organizing.  We finally moved the computer into our room and have officially started cleaning out the playroom closet.  I'll be honest...it was like a knife in the heart putting up things I should be keeping out to use with Hadley.  But I put on praise music while I organized and God calmed my heart, He always does.  Next on the list...paint the walls in the playroom yellow!!

One of my favorite things …friends.  I can't tell you how blessed I have been these past 3 months with wonderful friendships.

A picture I am sharing...2 years ago at this time we were taking maternity pictures for Briley.  I love this picture that was captured of Daniel and I.
It is REALLY hard not to think about the week I would be if Hadley was still with us.  I loved knowing that her and Briley were going to have birthday's in the same month and be two years apart.  What stings even more is right now Briley is so in love with babies and anytime we are out and she see's a baby she just coos over it and can't get enough of them.  It hurts knowing that we won't get to see Briley be a big sister to Hadley here on earth.  I'm writing all of these things down because I've already said them to God over and over again.  When I'm really discouraged I look for the joy I have been given from Hadley and I feel better.  Today I am going to remember that Briley is still a big sister and that her sweet baby sister is in perfect Heaven.  I know and TRUST that God has more baby sister's or brother's in store for Briley.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and who's hope is in the LORD. -Jeremiah 17:7

I hope everyone had a terrific Monday.  Last Monday of school for me before summer :)

Monday Day Book

Outside my window …it has finally stopped raining, but it is still cold!!  These are the kind of days/nights you curl up with your family and watch movies!!

I am thinking …that I am really missing Hadley today.  It's been 9 weeks...

I am thankful for …my family.  I had a hard day at school and coming home to Briley wanting huge hugs, saying "hi mommy" over and over again, and Daniel having dinner started was wonderful.  The two of them can always make my day brighter.

I am hoping …for so many things.  God knows what is in my heart.

On my mind ... the book Heaven is for Real.  I just finished it a couple days ago and I can't even explain to you the joy that book made me feel.  It is a must-read...go get it!!!  I'm going to do another post about it later, but I can't get that little boy and his memories from Heaven out of my mind.

Noticing that …I need to still schedule our Spring family pictures.  Daniel and I decided that we are going to share Hadley's picture in them.  We are going to put her beautiful face in a beautiful frame and let Briley hold it in a picture with all of us.  I can't wait to have a picture of all 4 of us together...it makes my heart feel so warm thinking about it.

A few plans for the week … Daniel is off most of the week so I'm looking forward to being home with him and Briley at night.  Saturday I'm going to see a new movie coming out called, Something Borrowed, with my Mom.  We read the book by Emily Giffin and we are so excited to see the movie together!!  Sunday we are celebrating Mother's Day of course!!!

From the kitchen … Daniel made Baked Ziti tonight.  It is a family favorite and I love the leftovers the next day for lunch!!

Around the house … I have a lot of things to get done before Briley's 2nd birthday party!!

One of my favorite things …when Briley asks Daniel and I for a family hug.  She will squeeze both of us so tight...it is the best feeling.

A picture I am sharing ...this is my amazing mother-in-law, Tammie.  She is holding Briley the day she was born in this picture and now is holding our sweet Hadley in Heaven today and everyday.  Tomorrow is my Mother-in-laws birthday.  This week is hard for us.  4 months since Tammie went to Heaven, 9 weeks since Hadley went to Heaven, my Mother-in-laws birthday, 1st Mother's Day without her or Hadley.  Please pray for our family this week.  I'm going to post more pictures tomorrow for her birthday, but this is one of my favorites...

Monday Day Book

Well I guess it should be titled Monday "Night" Book since Monday is almost over, but oh well!  I got this idea from a high school friend, Laura.  If you want to read a very witty blog that will sometimes make you laugh out loud and then make you really think, go to her blog!!  I love reading it!!

Outside my window … I can see Hadley's Garden.   It has grown so much.  I wonder how much she has grown in Heaven.  Will she still be a baby when I see her again?  So many questions...

I am thankful for …today and everyday I am thankful for Him and what he has blessed me with.  I'm also thankful for Blue Bunny Birthday Cake Ice cream that my sister-in-law just introduced me to.  I feel a little silly putting both of these in the same section but I'm being honest :)  A big bowl of ice cream after a long day with 5-6 year olds can really hit the spot!!

I am hoping … that I can continue to get stronger.  I had a hard Sunday yesterday.  I would be 30 weeks along in my pregnancy with Hadley on Tuesday and I'm hurting...bad.

On my mind …
sadly, medical bills.  I know God will provide, he ALWAYS does.

Noticing that …my daughter has grown so much in the past couple months.  It seems like she has moved from the baby to little girl stage.  She amazes me more and more everyday.

A few plans for the week … devotional and family time, work/school, Easter Egg hunt for Briley at school, Ranger game on Friday, and Easter fun this weekend!!

From the kitchen … Briley and I ate a Bertolli meal and it was fantastic!!  Perfect size for her and I when Daniel is at the fire station.  If you have never bought one I highly suggest it!!

Around the house … I did a lot of rearranging in the kitchen this weekend and I love how clean it looks.  I got rid of a few things and rearranged above my cabinets and I like it so much better.  Funny how you can do a little redecorating with things you already own!!

One of my favorite things … I love when we pull into Bluebonnet and Briley will immediately start saying, "Nonnie...Hadley?"  She knows we are there to talk to them, think about them, blow them kisses, pray with them, and tell them we love them.

A picture I am sharing...a picture of Briley and I at our church Easter Egg Hunt last year.  She was so little!!
