Pumpkin Patch 2010

Monday was a holiday for me at school (gotta love good 'ol Christopher Columbus) so we decided to take advantage of Daniel and I both being home and go to the pumpkin patch with Briley.  We recruited our favorite Auntie to come and take pictures with her awesome camera of our sweet girl.  After seeing how amazing the pictures turned out it only confirmed our decision that we HAVE to get a camera like this for Christmas.  Having a Mac also gives us the opportunity to do some fun photo editing and I can't tell you how much I am in LOVE with these pictures!!

Enjoying a ride down the VERY fast slide :)

She stuck her head right through like she knew exactly what to do!!

Can't even get over her sweet face...

Daniel loved that she had so much fun in this old truck!!

Loved this pumpkin patch...so many great photo ops!!

Decisions, decisions!!

Bringing out her inner cowgirl on the tractor!!

This one is my size for sure!!

Such a little ham!!

Such a wonderful day with lots of memories...definitely a trip we will make for many years to come.  I hope everyone has a blessed Friday!!

Fall Fun!!

The temperature today is not supposed to get above 70 and I can't tell you how happy that makes me!!  Don't get me wrong I LOVE summer (I'm a teacher) but there is something about that first cool day after many long hot days of summer that gets me really excited about the holiday season approaching.  I already have our fall wreath on the door, pumpkins spread throughout the living room, and our fall flower garland on our mantle, so it has seemed like fall for a while in our house :)  Christmas is by far my favorite decorating holiday...but fall is definitely a close second!!  I'm still working on collecting fall decor but here is a little glimpse of the fall in our home...

With fall of course come Halloween and I already ordered Briley's Halloween costume and it should be here any day now.  Here is a peek at her costume and her cute Halloween treat bag that I ordered as well!!

Daniel and I decided we wanted her to be something traditional this year because we know every year after this she will most likely want to be a princess, fairy, or ballerina.  Which is fine with us, but we are excited about having one more year to pick for her :)  I'm hoping it's a little chilly on Halloween so I can put black tights with it, I can't wait to see it on her!!

Here is a cute picture of our little fall beauty...it's hard to get a smile out of her with her paci always glued to her mouth!!  Still cute though :)

Have a blessed week!!

Making Memories

Daniel is building us a fenced in area to hold our trash cans on the side of our house and we decided to take advantage of the newly poured concrete...

Tomorrow is Friday!!  As I say to my kinder kids..."It's Mrs. Bufe's favorite day of the week!!"

Have a great weekend!!

9/11 Tribute and Birthday Party Fun!!

For some of you that do not know, my husband is learning how to play the bag pipes!!  He is a member of the EDUCT Pipes and Drums organization for Firefighters in the South Dallas area and has really made a big commitment in doing this and I am very proud of him.  One of their first big events they put together was to organize a 9/11 memorial.  Daniel and many other firefighters in the EDUCT Pipes and Drum spent a lot of time putting this together and I wanted to share a few pictures from it.  Briley and I made it up there to support Daniel and we were VERY proud of our fireman!!

Sadly this is the only picture I got of Briley and I at the memorial because she was too busy throwing 50+ cheerios on the ground during the service...no joke!!  However, it did keep her quiet so what can you do??  :)

This past weekend we were busy busy with birthday parties!!  The first birthday stop of the weekend was for sweet Tristan who turned 2!!  I have grown up with Tristan's Aunt and Mommy (his 2 other Aunt's as well) and I just can't say how much I love this family.  I love that we get to be a part of Tristan's life and that the are a part of Briley's.  Here are some FUN pictures from the party at Let's Jump!!  Briley had no fear and had an absolute BLAST!!  I plan to post a video soon of her going down the big slide...or should I say ROLLING down the big slide :)

On Sunday, we had another 2nd birthday for another dear friend of mine's (Sarah) sweet little girl.  Presleigh Joy had a PINKALICIOUS birthday and it was SO cute and SO much fun :)  I can't believe Presleigh is already two!!  Daniel was a great sport and wore pink with us...Briley has such a great Daddy!!  Gotta love the crying picture...we were having a little meltdown :)

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend as well!!

Back in the swing of things...

That is exactly what is going on at the Bufe household lately.  We are back in our "routine" and I have to admit it is nice being on a schedule again.  I have been back in school for 4 weeks now and I honestly can't believe how fast it is already going....come on Thanksgiving Break!!  I have a VERY sweet group of Kindergarten kids this year and I'm excited to watch them grow and change throughout the year.  A lot of people ask me why I teach Kindergarten (sometimes I ask myself that) but I always give the same answer...there is nothing like being their 1st teacher in "big" school.  I love seeing how nervous and excited they are at the beginning and then watching them change into big kids ready to conquer every grade thereafter.  Plus the kiddos just LOVE you and on days when I feel very upset about leaving my precious little girl, their smiling faces help get me through the day!!  Guess you can't really understand unless you do it everyday :) Here is my AMAZING kindergarten team this year...would not be able to make it through without these ladies!!

Briley has done an AMAZING job getting back in the swing of things as well.  It varies each week but she is usually at her private sitter's (Kristin) house 2-3 days a week and then at home with Daniel on the days he is home from the fire station.  She is still having a hard time when I leave in the mornings but I know that comes with her age, however it is pretty hard on me and I count the hours until I can see that precious face in the afternoon!!  She loves going to Kristin's house on the days Daniel can't watch her.  Kristin has two girls, Lily-6, Annabelle-16 months.  Annabelle was born 10 days before Briley and I am so glad Briley has a little friend so close in age to her that she can play with on a weekly basis.  Lily, her oldest is also a big fan of Briley's...she smiles so big every time I say her name!!  I can't say enough how lucky we are to have such an amazing and GODLY woman to watch Briley.  God truly blessed us with the Stanton family!!  Let me mention also that we dearly miss our other private sitter from last year, Kyle and her sweet son Max that Briley adored as well!!

Along with teaching school during the week I now teach every Sunday at First Hurst in Briley's class, Ones A.  I love that I get to be with Briley in her Sunday school class but what makes it even better is my very best friend, Sarah, is getting to teach with me!!  We are so excited about seeing each other every Sunday, I love her and her sweet family so much and I love that I get to see her once a week so we can catch up.  We are both notoriously BUSY BUSY so I love that I know I will get that time with her on Sunday morning.

So, as you can see we are back in our routine and very busy at that.  We have also been up at the hospital the past week because Daniel's Mom had fluid in her heart and lungs and needed it to be drained.  She is home now and doing well.  Please, please, please keep her and our family in your prayers.  Don't forget to visit her CaringBridge site at www.caringbridge.org/visit/tammie_bufe

I can't think of a better way to end this blog then with a cute pic of my GIRLY GIRL!!!  We are off to a birthday party tomorrow and another one on Sunday so I will have fun pictures from those on the next blog, as well as the 9/11 tribute that Daniel put together for Lancaster Fire Department and the community as well!!  Let me just say I was VERY proud of my husband :)

Have a great weekend!!
